In the past week, Rob and I drove over a thousand kilometres up and down two sides of an Ontario triangle: North, to North Bay, where I ran two workshops over two days at Nipissing University; back down Highway 11 and across through the Muskoka region, in glorious Fall colours, to Rosseau – where we stopped Thursday night for an excellent dinner before carrying on to the 400, down which we drove through intermittent rain to Toronto; and then, on the weekend, East to Prince Edward County, for wine-tasting, sight-seeing and more fine dining. If you are ever in Bloomfield, take a hint from both of us, and try the bouillabaisse at ‘The Agrarian’ – of all the places in the world to find a good bouillabaisse, this has to be one of the least likely, and one of the most memorable.
I apologize for not having had time to do a better job of sorting and selecting, but here, nonetheless, are a few images.
Thank you for a bright spot on an otherwise dreadful news day in both our nations. And now I’m craving fish stew. Hmm.
