Time off, yesterday, for good behaviour. Off to the steel town of Hamilton, or The Hammer, to be precise, to attend a garden ‘salon’ intended to introduce our guitarist friend Mark Caruana to the Hamilton cognoscenti, and hopefully in the process drum up some business for him.
But first there was a pleasant afternoon ramble along funky James Street, joined late afternoon by our friends Wayne and Julia, who went on with us for dinner to a very funky restaurant, Rapscallion (duck sliders, shrimp kimchi, pork and beans, butter-cooked chicken wings, Lug Tread lager) before, suitably fortified, we headed over to Susan’s, salon hostess and proud owner of the gorgeous garden and home you see in the pictures.
Mark did pretty well – great performance, and good turnout.
Hope you enjoy the pictures.
Apparently an afternoon of excellent music, good company, and great photos to prove it.
