The shifting nature of teaching and learning in higher education, in an era of massification and globalization, the broadening of participation to include new and first-generation student populations, and the changing nature of the academic profession, are key concerns around the world, and a major challenge in my home country, South Africa.

I thought I’d share this interesting presentation on the issue, by the engaging Richard Wiggers of HEQCO (the Higher Education Quality Council of Ontario), for those of you who have a professional interest in higher education – and for those of you who have children at university.
